Scrapped…

Well, I lied.

I’m not going to finish the Vine legacy.  I’ll be honest–part of it is lack of interest, but a large part of it is that the file is so very buggy.  It crashes more often than not, and I simply don’t have the patience to do the one step forward, two steps back sort of thing.  It makes playing a nightmare, and something I dread, which is no way to play.  I play TS3 for fun, and a file that crashes over and over isn’t fun (particularly when you need to document the progress).

I may try to make another legacy sometime, I just don’t know.  I may try some challenges instead…something shorter.  In any case, thanks to everyone who read and gave me so much encouragement and support.  I’ll never forget that–it gave me the confidence to start my story blog, and writing for that makes me so happy!  I’ll leave this page up because it still contains links to so many great writers–please, if you come across this, don’t go away before trying some of them out.  Seriously.

Chapter 36

Authorial interjection: Sorry I haven’t been updating the legacy story as regularly, but it has been a bit hectic lately. The Vines are still going strong–I am not quitting this legacy. I’m just taking a bit longer to get through it for a few reasons: 1) the legacy file crashes often, and I get frustrated because it sets back my progress quite a bit–one step forward then two steps back almost every time; 2) I am working and taking two graduate courses at the same time, so a lot of my weekend time has to be devoted to reading, and 3) I have a non-legacy story that I’m working on and it gets more readers than my legacy–I feel more obligated to dedicate my time to those updates. Anyway, just know that even though it will be at a turtle’s pace, I will finish this legacy! I will! I love my Vines.  Now, on to their story. Read the rest of this entry »

While Rebecca was adjusting to her new status as a young adult, Xavier aged into a teenager in the middle of enjoying some ice cream.  His face was troubled for a reason—it seems that he was fated to struggle as Trudy’s Uncle Silas had—the compulsive urge to steal began to manifest itself in his teen years.
